An Amazing Two Weekends

Okay i'm not so sure how i'll manage to entertain myself after the last two weekends.

Two weeks ago, some of you may know that Alex and I went to Blythe to film some intense action sequences for the movie we're doing makeup for.
It was frickin' hot (120 degrees) but we survived and have formed quite the bond with the rest of the cast and crew.

Here's an example of our work for this film.
(it is called "Apparition" by Daniel Gruen and it should be finished by Halloween this year)

And here's me venturing out into the unknown.
Quite the adventure.

So one of the guys of the cast is determined to dominate YouTube, so we've been brainstorming and last night he, Alex, Kaitlin and I thought it a brilliant idea to start filming a mock PSA on exercise exacerbating global warming.

Here it is:

And here's the behind the scenes footage of "Apparition"
Good times, good times.
I'm glad i decided to take summer sessions.

Cheers from the States!

Since, the girls of the compound are practically the only ones that read this blog (if anyone does) and 2 of them are abroad, i figure i'd post a belated Happy Independence Day to the ones i can't wish it to in person because they are elsewhere.

Yes, I know it's a day late (er two at that), but I meant to do this yesterday before the heat stroke really got to me...

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!

And for you girls in England, we decided to be extra patriotic and obnoxio
usly American to make up for all the Britishisms you guys are undoubtedly adopting over there.

Quiz: which of these All-American ladies looks like she will be returning to the Mother Land?

It was a fun eventful American day, though Alex left us briefly cuz she was called in to work (damn you, J.Crew). Cogers joined us in the evening for fireworks.

Total mean but funny moment: a couple that was walking along the beach happened to stop right smack dab in the middle of our view of the harbor and started making out hard core. We all applauded them. Nothing like fireworks before the fireworks. I wish the rest of you (Barb, Kait, and Stace) were there.
It was refreshing being an obnoxious American for a day, I admit.

and Stace, I think your dad's right: It should be called Good Riddance Day in Britain.
