What Happens When You're Helpful

When you establish yourself as a helpful and obliging person in the workplace, people use you.
I learned that today.
My supervisor has started lending me out to people. I'm flattered; it means my work is appreciated. But at the same time I must be wary...I'm in close danger of becoming the office b*tch.
And that will mean I'll have a "thing" here. I'm like the temp, Ryan in "The Office": "I don't want to be, like, a 'guy' here. Like, Stanley is the 'crossword puzzle guy' and Angela....has cats. I don't want to have a thing here. You know, I don't want to be the 'something' guy."

I think it's too late for me.
I'm the token youngen. There are other people working here that are my age, but I think I'm the one who talks and interacts with people more. Like just now, the woman that works in the room next to me said "Alex, don't get married."

I told her I wasn't planning on it.

So there's me at the moment.
I'm working and studying.
Don't get me wrong though: I really really really like my job. It's fun, I learn a lot, and the people here are so nice...and if I am to be used by anyone, it's them.

On another note:
WELCOME HOME BRIGHTON AND CAMBRIDGE!
I can't wait to see you guys again!

I can't wait to hear your stories!
Now that you guys are home, I'm starting to reflect on my summer.
To sum up, it's been packed with filmmaking and a new circle of filmmaking friends!

You've seen the edited videos.
Here's a look at what really goes on behind the scenes...

That's DJ dancing. He produces stuff.
Lanlin was the guy bopping his head; he directed the music video Alex and I helped with.

There's a post and brief update.
