I'm Smiling, I'm Fine!

Apparently people have been worried about me recently;
family have been voicing concerns and friends have said that I have not been myself lately which shocks me.
I'm setting the record straight right now:
I'm fine everybody!

I think I had a major comedown after the holidays I had (I mean how could I not). I knew it was going to be hard but I didn't know it was going to last longer than a day or two and I never planned on making my comedown visible.
And to be honest, not getting a callback for David's Festen didn't make things cheerier for me. Remember I said I'd be devastated if I didn't get a callback and I was devastated. And now feel like a right @$$ cuz it seems like I expected to get a callback when by this point I really should know better than to assume that...no matter HOW well I know the director.
Basically all it came down to was the limited number of people they could have at the callback for a cast of 13 and he couldn't very well callback ALL of his friends that auditioned though that would have been enjoyed on both parts.

After a day of wallowing I got back on the horse and auditioned for a student written work called Beyond Imagination which looks quite interesting and I found out the other day that I got cast. The director just doesn't know how to assign the roles yet.
I also auditioned for the musical they're doing this term called Slice of Saturday Night that takes place in London in the '60s so I did my British accent and sang Jason Robert Brown's "See I'm Smiling". All in all I think it went pretty well.
Dance auditions are tomorrow: I'm so excited!

Back to the topic of Festen: I was so sad and depressed and had no idea when I thought I would be able to talk to David again. If anything, I was embarrassed about it cuz I was afraid my audition might have been terrible and also, people seemed to be expecting me to get called back cuz I did Oleanna with David and everything.
But this weekend I had brunch with him and I'm happy to say that everything is back to normal with us.

Hope all is well with everyone!
